I've been collecting these red rubber bands that seem to appear out of nowhere for years now. I've even made them into a huge ball.
When my eyes first happened on this red rubber band, I felt a strange warmth pass through me and a sudden sensation of calmness. Jamie was standing next to me and I glanced over and he had a strangely calm look on his face too.
We were both frozen to the spot for what seemed like minutes but was probably just a few seconds. I bent over to pick up this strange artefact and as my hand got within inches, it seemed to just hover into my palm!
I'm not certain that I didn't just imagine this but it felt so real. It was a sign of some sort. I still don't know exactly what. But any time things are going badly, I touch the Elastic Madonna and more often than not my situation improves quite quickly.
This all sounds crazy and I'm as sceptical as they come. But this really happened and I don't have any reasonable explanation for it. So for now, I'm a believer in the Elastic Madonna.
